WSRN Geodetic Reference Framework

The geodetic policy of the WSRN is to constrain all WSRN stations to the National Spatial Reference Framework (NSRS) of the National Geodetic Survey (NGS). Some of the WSRN stations are NGS CORS, others have been bluebooked at the NGS, and the rest are constrained to NGS CORS through a rigorous network adjustment.

All ellipsoid heights shown on this website are in meters unless otherwuise stated

Pending Datum Transistion
The National Spatial Refernce System (NSRS) will change from NAD83-2011 to NATREF-2022 in early 2026. The WSRN will transition to the new NSRS (Datum) on the same date as the National Geodetic Survey (NOAA NGS). However, for a peroid of 12-18 months the WSRN will provide dual datum services. After that period, NAD83-2011 will no longer be supported. To read more about the transition plan Click here.

CURRENT NAD83-2011 Epoch 2010.00 MYSC3 Coordinates
These will be implemented on January 19, 2026 for the WSRN servers/caster at xxx.xxx.250.108 and xxx.xxxx.250.121 are NAD83-2011 Epoch 2010.00 MYCS3 (Multi Year CORS Solution). Note: this is not a datum shift, but an interim, subtle adjustment of all CORS non-CORS station coordinates. To learn more about this adjustment Click here.

SUPERSEDED NAD83-2011 Epoch 2010.00 MYSC2 Coordinates
Superseded (as of Janaury 19, 2026) for the WSRN servers/caster at xxx.xxx.250.108 and xxx.xxxx.250.121 are NAD83-2011 Epoch 2010.00 MYCS2 (Multi Year CORS Solution). For a list of those coordinates Click here.

SUPERSEDED - NAD83-CORS96 Epoch 2002.00 Coordinates
The coordinates for the RETIRED Legacy WSRN servers/caster that used to be at xxx.xxx.250.185 are NAD83-CORS96 Epoch 2002.00. For a current list of those superseded coordinates Click here.
